Every client enjoys giving their pet a treat—even dogs on weight loss or maintenance diets. Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Lite Snackers canine treats are low-calorie, high-fibre snacks that can be used as part of a complete weight maintenance program, or as a calorie-smart treat with any diet.
The caloric intake from treats should not exceed 10% of a dog’s total daily caloric requirement. If treats are given, the amount of food should be reduced. For example, if the daily feeding recommendation for a dog is approximately 510 kcals, the dog can have either 2 cups of OM Overweight Management formula dry diet and no treats, or 1 3/4 cups OM Overweight Management formula dry diet plus 4 Lite Snackers canine treats daily.

Lite Snackers have been formulated with the following characteristics:
Treats with these nutritional modifications are recommended for the following:
The caloric intake from treats should not exceed 10% of a dog’s total daily caloric requirement. If treats are given, the amount of food should be reduced. For example, if the daily feeding recommendation for a dog is approximately 510 kcals, the dog can have either 2 cups of OM Overweight Management formula dry diet and no treats, or 1 3/4 cups OM Overweight Management formula dry diet plus 4 Lite Snackers canine treats daily.
